Amendments in the Law regarding the import of pesticides into the customs territory of Ukraine

The Law "On amendments to Article 4 of the Law of Ukraine "On Pesticides and Agrochemicals" regarding import of pesticides into the customs territory of Ukraine" was adopted.
It has improved certain provisions on import and use of unregistered pesticides in Ukraine, use of residues of pesticides and agrochemicals with expired registration terms, as well as the possibility of their application, storage, trade, advertising, and transportation within two years after the expiration of their registration.
The Law unblocked the import of samples of innovative plant protection products for scientific research and state trials purposes.
It has excluded the provision from article 4 of the Law of Ukraine "On Pesticides and Agrochemicals", pursuant to which the obligatory condition for import and use of samples of pesticides, used for public trials and scientific research in Ukraine, shall be the documentary proof of their state registration in the country, where they are produced.
The Law, registered under No. 1586-ІХ was signed by the President of Ukraine and entered into force on 1 July 2021.
