A meeting of the Commission on Integrated Hygienic Standardization and Regulation of Pesticides and Agrochemicals

At the meeting of the Commission on the Comprehensive Hygienic Standardization and Regulation of Pesticides and Agrochemicals, which took place on December 4, 2020, a protocol decision was made to lower the maximum acceptable levels of chlorpyrifos and chlorpyrifos-methyl in all crops to 0.01 ppm.

The protocol was sent to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for consideration and approval by an appropriate order. Analytical methods for controlling residues at the 0.01 ppm level are being developed. These regulations apply to agricultural products produced for domestic and export consumption. After effective date of the order, a 6-month transition period will be established.

The meeting of the scientific expert council is planned after the signing of the order, where they will make a decision about the already registered products.
