According to the latest version of the Act amending the Law on Pesticides and Agrochemicals, the procedure of registration of active ingredients (AIs) in Ukraine is planning to introduce in recent years.
As it is mentioned in the text of the Act, active ingredients of pesticides will be registered for a period of up to 10 years with the possibility of subsequent re-registration, which will be carried out in the order of registration. Besides, registration must be obtained on each AI producer and toxicological and hygienic assessment together with an environmental assessment will be required.
Among this, obtaining registration of AI will be required either for non-registered products in Ukraine before and for re-registration. For the time being, there are plans to register only the active substances that are part of pesticides.
The procedure itself is under development, such amendments are planned to introduce and implement in the next few years. However, it can be said that the process of registration of formulated products and actives in Ukraine will undergo changes in the recent future.
