New requirement for registrations in Russian Federation

There is a new requirement for the State Ecological Expertise (SEE) in the Russian Federation.
From 2022 the study on hydrobionts (acute toxicity of the product to aquatic invertebrates, fish and algae in accordance with the methods recommended for testing chemical products harmful to the environment) became compulsory for the State Ecological Expertise (SEE).
This new requirement is explained by the need to evaluate the real danger to the environment of the formulation in general, and not just the AI as it was before.
The commission of SEE currently does not issue the conclusion without the study on hydrobionts for pesticides and plant growth regulators.
The study itself can't be replaced by the reports, and it shall be performed only locally and by accredited institutions in Russia. Usually, it is necessary to provide a product in the amount of 1 liter/ 1 kg for the evaluation.
