New methodology guidelines in Russia

New methodology guidelines on registration trials of biological efficacy of pesticides were approved in Russia.
The list of new requirements include:
- Two seasons of trials instead of one for the re-registration of the product
- The amount of zones of trials per each crop has increased from two to three
- Crops are not grouped anymore at any stage of trials
- Residuals determination during two years is mandatory
In this connection the cost of efficacy trials has significantly increased. In addition, the overall cost of registration has increased, too, due to 2% increase of VAT.
